Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OneLane: Weekly Clarity (“OneLane”, “we”, “our”) handles information. OneLane is developed by Rich Code Studio.
1. Data Storage: On-Device + iCloud (Your Account)
OneLane stores your app data locally on your device. If you enable iCloud for OneLane, Apple may store and sync your app data using iCloud/CloudKit under your Apple ID. We do not have access to your iCloud account.
- Stored on your device (and in iCloud if enabled): journal entries, lane selections, weekly wins, mood check-ins, and preferences.
- We do not operate our own servers for storing your journal content or personal app data.
2. AI Coaching (Optional)
OneLane includes an optional AI coaching feature. By default, when you use AI coaching, your text is sent to a stateless proxy endpoint hosted on Supabase Edge Functions, which forwards your request to OpenAI to generate a response. Alternatively, you can enable Privacy Mode in Settings to route AI requests to a local LLM server (such as LM Studio) running on your own device or network — in this case, no data leaves your device.
What is sent (cloud mode)
- Your coaching message (whatever you type).
- Conversation context needed to respond within that session (recent messages in the same chat).
- Non-identifying app context (for example, your current lane/posture, if used to shape the response).
What is not sent
- Your name, email address, Apple ID, or device identifiers.
- Your full Lane Notes history. (If you enable personalization, a rolling 3-day summary of your notes may be included in AI prompts to improve prompt relevance — see Personalization below.)
- Contacts, photos, files, or other device content.
Personalization (Optional)
You may optionally enable prompt personalization in Settings (Privacy & AI). When enabled, a rolling summary of your last 3 days of Lane Notes (up to 500 characters per day, from the last 7 days) may be included in AI coaching prompts to tailor responses to your current focus.
- Personalization is opt-in — it is off by default and requires your explicit consent.
- You can disable it at any time in Settings → Privacy & AI.
- If you use Privacy Mode (local LLM), personalization data never leaves your device regardless of this setting.
We do not store AI coaching conversation content on our servers. Supabase's hosting infrastructure may generate operational logs (for example, timestamps, status codes, and error logs). We aim to minimize operational logging and we do not use logs for tracking, advertising, or profiling.
OpenAI processes the text you send to produce a response. OpenAI's policies govern how they handle API data. If you use Privacy Mode (local LLM), no third-party AI service is involved.
3. Purchases (Apple StoreKit)
Subscriptions and payments are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your full payment information. Apple may provide us with receipt information required to validate your subscription status.
4. Diagnostics and Analytics
Apple may collect crash and performance diagnostics depending on your device settings. We may use these signals to improve stability and performance. We do not use diagnostics for advertising.
OneLane also records anonymous usage events (for example, which features are used) stored locally on your device. These are not tied to your identity and are not sent to external servers.
5. Third-Party Services
OneLane may involve the following third parties:
- Apple iCloud/CloudKit — optional backup/sync of your OneLane data under your Apple ID (if enabled). Apple privacy policy applies.
-
Supabase — hosts the serverless proxy endpoint (Edge Functions) that forwards AI coaching requests to OpenAI.
No user data is stored by this endpoint.
Supabase privacy policy applies.

OpenAI — processes AI coaching messages and returns generated responses.
OpenAI privacy policy applies.
https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy - Apple StoreKit — subscription management and purchase processing.
If you use Privacy Mode (local LLM via LM Studio), no third-party AI service is involved — all AI processing happens on your device or local network.
6. No Tracking / No Data Selling
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
7. Data Deletion
- Delete in-app: You can delete all OneLane data from within the app (Settings → Delete All App Data). This removes all local data on your device and returns you to the welcome screen.
- iCloud: If iCloud is enabled for OneLane, Apple may retain backups/synced copies in your iCloud account. You can manage iCloud storage and app data in your device's iCloud settings.
- AI coaching messages: We do not store conversation content on our servers. Requests are processed by your configured AI provider and are not stored by OneLane on any server.
8. Children's Privacy
OneLane is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
