Plain-English summary: Arrive Japan is designed to work offline and does not use your data for tracking or advertising. App progress and preferences may sync through your private iCloud account if iCloud is enabled.
Information Stored on Your Device or iCloud
Arrive Japan stores app data locally on your device. If iCloud is enabled, Apple may sync saved phrases, preferences, review progress, learning history, and trip preparation data through your private iCloud account. Rich Code Studio does not have access to your Apple ID or private iCloud account.
Permissions
- Camera: requested only when you start sign scanning, so the app can help decode Japanese signs, menus, or labels.
- Microphone and Speech Recognition: requested only when you start speech practice, so the app can support pronunciation practice.
Purchases
Optional Premium purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit. Rich Code Studio does not receive your full payment card details. Apple may provide purchase status information needed to unlock Premium access or restore purchases.
Tracking and Advertising
Arrive Japan does not track you across apps or websites and does not use your data for advertising.
Children's Privacy
Arrive Japan is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can help address the issue.
